Dependence on sweet is the most severe of all kinds of food addictions. Among people suffering from an eating disorder is 80% of sweet tooth. I work with them, so I know how sugar destroys not only the body, health, but also the human psyche, and often his life. It's difficult to break out of a sweet brew, but it's possible. Let's do it right now!
First of all, stop blaming yourself for weakness! It's all about biochemical processes. Our body is a unique system that obeys certain laws. Ate sweet - immediately activated beta-endorphin receptors and dopamine system of pleasure center. The so-called "hormones of happiness" stand out, you feel good and pleasant. Very quickly there is an accustoming: as soon as you want to cheer yourself up, you resort to the most accessible and simple way - eat sweet, and the doses increase over time.
Delicacy becomes a kind of a superhid, a symbol of a full life. Scientists have proved that the essence of the process of eating sweet is similar to how the body reacts to alcohol, drugs and other types of doping. Therefore, they started to treat dependence on the sweet, like alcoholism and drug addiction, in expensive clinics. It’s a real problem, fmong my patients there are people who desperate to cope with cravings for sweets, fell into severe depression and were on the verge of suicide.
If you eat sweets every day, in the microflora of the intestine the Candida Ablicans fungus settles in and actively reproduces, for which sweet is a species food. And while you feed it, it multiplies. And the growing Candida population requires ever larger amounts of food. Forget the expression: "my body requires sweet". This is not your body requires, it requires a banal fungus that you have harvested!
The way out is to stop feeding the parasite, then its population will decrease with time, and you will become a free person. If you do not eat sweet two months, the body will more or less clear of Candida Ablicans and it will stop making you absorb sweet.
There is one more serious reason why you always want a sweet. When you eat at least a small cake, there is a sharp jump in glucose in the blood, which triggers a need for a new dose of sugar. There is a vicious circle.
A craving for sweets can also be a symptom of a number of diseases. Therefore, if you are determined, go to the medical examination. In particular, visit an endocrinologist and gynecologist: you may have thyroid dysfunction or candidiasis.

How to replace the cake
Ideally, in general, block the intake of refined sugars into the body. And it's not just about products that contain obvious sugar (all kinds of confectionery), but also those in which the sugar is hidden. Thanks to the ability to completely dissolve in various substances and make the taste of food more attractive, refined sugar is added not only to confectionery and pastries, but also to carbonated beverages, juices, sauces, sour milk and dairy products, low-fat products, meat and offal products, all kinds of prepacked food.
That is, what should be done in the first place, remove all food from your diet with obvious and hidden sugar. Replace it with products with a low glycemic index, able to level blood glucose levels and maintain the sugar in a stable state. Tables of products with a low, medium and high glycemic index can be found on the Internet, the data in them are not particularly different.
By the way, keep in mind that sugar substitutes are not less, and even more harmful than sugar itself - studies have shown that sugar substitutes even increase dependence on sweet. The only thing you can use is the stevia. It can be added also to diet desserts (I recently had an article about this). If you suffer without delicacies, prepare useful delicacies at home, replacing sugar with stevia, and wheat flour with oatmeal or buckwheat meal. Eat fruit, especially now, when such a variety!
Products with high chromium content can help in the fight against cravings for sweets: it suppresses cravings for sugar. This, in particular, fish and seafood.
Another substance used to treat food disorders in general and "sweet" in particular, is glutamine. Initially, it was used to treat alcohol dependence: it removes brain and nervous tension and allows you to resist seizures to eat harmful food. Products containing glutamine: spinach, beans, beets, fish, cabbage, sour-milk products.
Joy of life
In parallel with the change of the menu, it is necessary to identify the main causes of sugar drinking, what exactly they usually provoke. As a rule, these are all kinds of experiences and a lack of positive emotions. Try to live an interesting busy life, to occupy yourself with interesting things to you, to communicate with pleasant people, read, come up with new hobbies. And also work out old grievances and psychological trauma. If you can not get by yourself, go to a psychologist, an expert on an eating disorder.
And instead of chewing stresses and sorrows in the evenings, disconnect from problems, take a fragrant foam bath for good music and go to bed early. As you know, lack of sleep provokes both stress and a desire to eat more sweet. It has been scientifically proven that lack of sleep causes hormonal disturbances: actively increases the appetite of ghrelin and reduces the level of suppressive leptin.
Any physical activity helps: training, dancing, swimming, cycling, even ordinary walks. Studies have shown that movement stimulates the release of endorphins, the same "hormones of joy" that we get when we eat tasty. That is, doing sports, you lose weight, and get a powerful charge of positive.
